Chambers 2024 marks another proud achievement for ROWAN LEGAL. The firm once again stands out as the European leader in TMT and as a global player in dispute resolution.
Prague, March 14, 2024 – Today, the British ranking institution Chambers and Partners published the latest edition of its rankings of the best European law firms, Chambers Europe 2024. Once again, the Czech law firm ROWAN LEGAL is prominently featured. For the eighth time, it secured a place in the highest echelon (Band 1) for services in the field of TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) law. The firm also garnered recognition in other categories including competition, compliance, dispute resolution, intellectual property, energy and tax issues. In addition, seven ROWAN LEGAL lawyers were included in the category of prominent legal personalities. This latest achievement adds to the firm’s string of international successes following its recognition in Chambers Global in February. Once again, Miloš Olík, a distinguished arbitrator and partner at the firm along with the dispute resolution department under his leadership, were recognized for their exceptional work.
Traditionally, ROWAN LEGAL excels within the realm of TMT law. The firm has maintained its position in the highest Band 1 category in Chambers Europe since 2017 and repeated the feat again this year. However, this is not the only area in which ROWAN LEGAL’s pro-client approach has received recognition. The expert jury also acknowledged the exceptional quality of services in further specializations, particularly in competition and compliance (Band 2), dispute resolution, intellectual property, energy projects and now, also, in the area of taxation (Band 3).

As in previous years, specific individuals in the firm were also awarded. A total of seven ROWAN LEGAL lawyers were placed in VChambers Europe 2024 this year. For the TMT specialization, the partners are Josef Donát (Band 1), Michal Nulíček (Band 2) and Jan Tomíšek (Band 3). Michal Nulíček also achieved a high rating in compliance, where he was awarded Band 2. Partner Jan Měkota (Band 3) was among the most important new awardees, winning for services provided in the area of competition law.
Another double winner is partner Miloš Olík, who received awards in the DR Arbitration Counsel and DR Most in Demand Arbitrators (Band 2) categories. This follows another success for Olík on the international scene just a few weeks ago, when like last year, he was ranked in Band 2 within the Chambers Global 2024 partner rankings. ROWAN LEGAL likewise received a Band 3 rating in this category.

ROWAN LEGAL also achieved two successes this year in categories outside its traditional domains. In the realm of real estate, Lucie Smrkovská received the Associates to Watch award, while Lucie Kačerová was honored with the Up and Coming award in the field of restructuring. These accolades are given to lawyers who are pivotal experts in their respective fields and who make significant contributions to the firm’s advancement.
Both rankings are published annually by the prestigious British ranking institution Chambers and Partners. Its rankings are among the most respected globally, primarily because of the composition of the expert jury and the sophisticated methodology oriented towards the client experience. Additionally, it actively seeks out the opinions of competing law firms. The information obtained in this way is then carefully analyzed by a jury.
