Lukáš Duffek focuses primarily on criminal law and defense at all stages of criminal proceedings. He is a specialist in serious property, economic and contract crime. He also focuses on the criminal liability of legal entities.
In addition to his active role as a defense lawyer, Lukáš Duffek also focuses on the prevention and avoidance of crime, through risk assessment and the preparation of criminal compliance programs.
Lukáš Duffek is also an expert in litigation and dispute resolution. He provides comprehensive legal advice to participants in all types of proceedings, both before general courts and in arbitration proceedings. He has in-depth experience in providing legal support in the preparation of procedural strategies, legal analyses and negotiations of parties before and after the commencement of court proceedings. Lukáš Duffek has extensive experience in representing clients before courts of all levels, including the formulation of relevant submissions, whether in major construction projects, IT disputes, copyright claims, unfair competition claims, engineering, trade receivables, insolvency proceedings, employment disputes or land ownership.
Commercial mediation is also an important part of his practice, where he acts either as a mediator or as a representative of parties to the dispute.
Part of his practice includes family law, especially divorce and child relationship arrangements, to which he applies his negotiation and mediation skills.
He publishes and lectures in all these areas. He is a member of the Disciplinary Commission of the CBA, the CBA Section for Private and Criminal Law, and the Union of Czech Lawyers.
Defense counsel for a defendant prosecuted for offences committed in the energy and regulated industries in connection with public procurement. The prosecution was for the offence of bribery and also for procurement fraud.

Defense of a client in a media-hyped case in the healthcare sector, accused of an economic crime, specifically the offence of conferring an advantage in the award of a public contract, in a public tender and a public auction.
Providing legal assistance to persons suspected of committing economic crimes. The offence consisted of the misuse of information and position in commercial dealings and unfair competition in the form of violation of business secrets.
Defending a client prosecuted for the offence of fraud committed in connection with EU law in the field of providing consultancy services on EU law and the effective use of EU funds.
Implementation and management of a comprehensive compliance system focused on criminal prevention for several companies with billions of dollars in turnover.
Involved in providing legal services to a major client in the product price comparison market in a dispute with a multinational company on the issue of abuse of dominance and related damages.
