Margarita Karešová Kucharčuk specializes mainly in (international and domestic) arbitration as well as litigation at ROWAN LEGAL.

Margarita has extensive experience in providing legal services to clients in complex arbitration and court proceedings, including international investment arbitration and litigation with an international element, in the areas of energy, including renewable energy, construction, information technology, automotive and sports law. Margarita also focuses on advising on domain name disputes.

Prior to joining ROWAN LEGAL, Margarita practiced law for more than seven years in the Prague office of a leading international law firm. Margarita regularly publishes, is a member of the editorial board of the Common Law Review and a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague.

Co-leading a team in connection with representing a client, the largest Czech construction company, in a dispute against the client under a quasi-FIDIC-based construction contract.

Leading a team in connection with the representation of a client, a construction and engineering company, in a dispute arising from a works contract.

Investment Arbitration

Advising the client-investor on its claims arising from a failed investment in the CEE region under the international investment protection regime.

Providing legal representation in several UNCITRAL and ad hoc arbitration disputes for damages under bilateral agreements on the promotion and mutual protection of investments and under the Energy Charter Agreement in the field of promotion of renewable energy production.

Representing a leading automotive manufacturer in a dispute with a former supplier worth tens of millions of CZK.
