A partner and the head of the ICT Law specialisation of ROWAN LEGAL, Martin Maisner is a renowned lawyer and arbitrator specialising in IT law, data protection, business transactions and alternative dispute resolution at both the national and international level (including mediation, negotiation and international arbitration).

Martin Maisner has acted as an arbitrator in a number of hearings addressed by the Arbitration Court Attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic and represented clients both in national arbitration courts in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic and in international arbitration proceedings. Considered an author of the legal theory of outsourcing, he is the author of a number of template contracts and agreements adopted by national and international IT companies.

An arbitrator of the .EU Domain Dispute Resolution Centre and a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), Martin Maisner is a member of the Executive Council of Multilaw – a multinational association of independent law firms and MULTILAW Arbitration Team (MAT) – a global expert group of top arbitration specialists.

Martin Maisner is the author and co-author of a number of publications, such as Commercial Agencies and Distributorships (Prentice Hall, 1995), Co-production International (TBI, 1995), World Antitrust Law and Practice (Little Brown and Company, 1996), Velká kniha smluvních vzorů / Comprehensive Book of Contractual Templates (C. H. Beck, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2007), ICCA Handbook on Commercial Arbitration – National Report Czech Republic (Wolters Kluwer, 2010) and articles on Internet law, IT outsourcing, IT contracts and agreements, IT legal aspects, IT dispute resolution, etc. An active contributor, he regularly gives presentations at professional conferences, e.g. System Integration CSSI 2001-2010 (Prague), System Integration SSSI (Tatranská Lomnice, Štrbské pleso, Bratislava, Myjava), World of Information Systems 2008, 2009 (Zlín), Software engineering 2009 (Ostrava) and many others.
