ROWAN LEGAL at Q-2010 International Scientific Conference

ROWAN LEGAL, law firm, took part in 12th Q-2010 International Scientific Conference taking place on 29-30 April 2010 in Holiday Inn of Žilina, Slovak Republic, on “Preparing, Constructing and Financing Road and Highway Network”. Organised by the University of Žilina, the event was held under the auspices of the Slovak Minister of Transport, Post, and Telecommunications, Ľubomír Vážny, the Slovak Minister of Education, Ján Mikolaj, and the rector of the University of Žilina.

Focusing on the development of road infrastructure in Slovakia, options of financing the road and highway network, e-tolls and road levies, over 150 participants and 30 speakers both from Slovakia and abroad have additionally discussed and analysed individual projects carried out in this area (roads, highways and other facilities) from the point of their preparation, financing options and contractual arrangements. Giving speech on the potential use of PPP projects in the area of road and highway infrastructure and their basic financial models, Ľudovít Mičinský V., Senior Associate with ROWAN LEGAL, has pointed to the specifics of these projects from the viewpoint of arrangements and contractual provisions and evaluated the road transport PPP projects implemented and planned in Slovakia and abroad.
